Don Aurelio has been working with the plants of the Peruvian Amazon for over forty years. He learned from his father, and his father's father — a line of curanderos who understood that the forest is not a resource to be extracted, but a living intelligence to be in relationship with.
The tinctures are prepared using traditional maceration: fresh plant material is harvested at the correct lunar phase, cleaned, and submerged in high-proof alcohol for a minimum of forty days. The result is then filtered and bottled at Casa Kallpa in amber glass to preserve the full spectrum of phytochemicals.
Nothing is rushed. The plants are not forced. The maceration time is not shortened. What arrives in your hands has been tended with the same quality of attention that the forest itself embodies.

Every tincture begins with plant material harvested from wild or cultivated plants in the Peruvian Amazon — never from endangered sources, always with the knowledge of where and how each plant was growing.
The material is prepared and submerged in cane alcohol at the precise strength determined by traditional use — different plants require different menstruum concentrations to draw out their full range of active constituents. The jars are then stored in a cool, dark space and turned daily for a minimum of forty days.
After maceration, each batch is press-filtered, tested for clarity and colour, and bottled in amber glass with tamper-proof seals. No additives. No preservatives. No shortcuts.
